There will be a Plains Town Meeting tonight at 7pm in Plains Grade School Cafeteria to discuss avenues to take in order to get a full-service grocery store in Plains. The Economic Director of Grant County will be on hand to talk with citizens and a low to medium income survey will begin door to door in Plains on October 1st to determine the feasibility of obtaining grant funding.  The Plains community is urged to attend the meeting to give their input.

  • On to the show … Do you drink those energy drinks? I’ll let you know how much caffiene you’re slammin’, Sarah McLachlan has a greatest hits album coming out and I’ll tell you about that, also info about Jennifer Hudson, Katy Perry, Natasha Bedingfield, OJ and much more!  Plus, Today In History, TV Tidbits, Crook of the Day and I’m starting a new feature Today in MUSIC History!

Don’t miss the Amelia Earhart Display at the Seward County Community College/Area Technical School Library.  The SCCC/ATS Library will have on display “Amelia Earhart: Taking Flight in Kansas ” today and tomorrow from 8am to 4pm. The display, produced by the Kansas Historical Society, explores Amelia’s life in Kansas as a child and offers a glimpse at her passion for flying, women’s issues, and aviation safety. If you haven’t picked up the ones you’ve won by 11am I’ll give those away as well!!!  This annual event raises money for scholarships and will be held this Saturday at the Event Center on the Fairgrounds.  Silent Auction begins at 6pm, food served from 6 to 8pm and the Live Auction begins at 8:30pm.

As you’ll see in the TV Tonight TAB at the top of the OzzBlog, not a lot of new stuff through Sunday as we get ready for Premiere Week next week.  I’ll be tuning in to America’s Toughest Jobs & Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader. Sunday is pretty dead except for the Emmy Awards and the COWBOYS vs the Packers.  Be sure to keep your eye on the TAB over the next couple of weeks!!! There will be a lot of new shows and a lot of our favorites returning for the fall!!

  • On to the show … Things will move along today since I have to leave early BUT I’ll be able to squeeze the Disney birthday special info in, tell you about what New Jersey people hear when they try to reach a political organization, more info on the drug bust at Ryan O’Neal’s house, and I’ll even have time for a Britney Update!  And of course this afternoon I’ll have TV Tidbits and Crook of the Day for you.
