There will be a Plains Town Meeting tonight at 7pm in Plains Grade School Cafeteria to discuss avenues to take in order to get a full-service grocery store in Plains. The Economic Director of Grant County will be on hand to talk with citizens and a low to medium income survey will begin door to door in Plains on October 1st to determine the feasibility of obtaining grant funding.  The Plains community is urged to attend the meeting to give their input.

Don’t miss the Amelia Earhart Display at the Seward County Community College/Area Technical School Library.  The SCCC/ATS Library will have on display “Amelia Earhart: Taking Flight in Kansas ” today and tomorrow from 8am to 4pm. The display, produced by the Kansas Historical Society, explores Amelia’s life in Kansas as a child and offers a glimpse at her passion for flying, women’s issues, and aviation safety.
